Adele has exceeded expectations in the U.S. with the publication of his latest album, "21" , which this week has slipped straight to # 1 on the list with 352,000 copies sold, the best week for album sales so far this year. Also, it is the 5 th best week digital sales ever for an album since the album has sold 217000 Adele legal digital downloads, 62% of its total sales! Publishing "21" also helped their previous album "19" , which this week has climbed 34 positions to # 16. The rest of the Top 5 is completed "Never Say Never: The Remixes" (which loses the # 1 falling to # 2), "Sigh No More" (# 3), "Now 37" (# 4) and "My World 2.0" (# 5). Full list here .
SINGLES
This week the Billboard Hot 100 has succumbed to the arrival of Adele, who manages to position 3 of their new songs in the musical count most important United States. The song that leads its arrival is the first single from the album, "Rolling In The Deep" , rising 13 places to # 13. The other two issues are "Someone Like You" (second international single from the album, which entered at # 65) and "Set Fire To The Rain" (second single in Holland, which has come straight to # 88). As for other artists, Lady Gaga and "Born This Way" still leading the list for the third consecutive week, but followed closely by Cee Lo Green and "Fuck You" . In the # 3 position repeated "Grenade" , Bruno Mars, while the # 4 back to Top 5 P! nk with "Fucking Perfect" . Close the Top 5 "S & M" , Rihanna, achieving its highest position this week. Special mention to "Blow" , the latest single from Ke $ ha, that after the publication of his video is up 21 positions, catapulting to # 11. Full list here .
